Bloubergstrand - dogs are allowed on the beach, but restrictions do apply. Check the signposts for more details.
Bishopscourt - The River Rehabilitation Centre - doggy-poop bags as well as a bucket for the disposal of poop are provided. This is also a geocaching site.

Constantia - Alphen Trail, Cecilia Forest, Constantia Nek, de Hel, Diep River Trail,
Klaassenbosch Trail and Sillery Trail are all dogfriendly. Dogs must be leashed and please keep a careful watch for horses! Most of these trails have car-guards at the respective parking areas. If you let your dog off a leash at Klaassenbosch, you will get a stiff spot fine!
Camps Bay - it is unclear whether dogs are actually permitted, but many people still take them along to this ideal beach. Check the signposts for more information and set a good example by behaving like a responsible dog owner - obey all doggie rules!
Claremont - Kromboom Park allows dogs on leashes.
De Waal Park is located on the corner of Upper Orange and Camp Streets in Oranjezicht, and is an absolute must for well-socialised city dogs. There have been a few attacks on dogs and other bizarre incidents that have occurred in the past few years, so do watch out for suspicious looking characters lurking about.
Other good walking spots in the City Bowl are Deer Park and Vredehoek Quarry. You may not want your dogs to swim in the water at the quarry, so keep them leashed if they love to get wet. Deer Park is excellent for picnics. Although there are armed patrols at Deer Park in the upper part of Vredehoek, you must exercise caution as muggings have recently taken place there. You will also need to watch out for mountain bikers.
Fish Hoek and Clovelly Beaches are both dogfriendly and, although dogs are permitted to run free on certain parts of these beaches, you must scoop the poop!
