Graaff-Reinet – De Kothuize
De Kothuize consists of seven lovingly-restored classic Cape Karoo houses in historic Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Province.
Most are national monuments and have been furnished and equipped in a manner which is harmonious with their historical character.
All credit cards are accepted, inclusive of Diners and Amex.
All have modern amenities and the following facilities:
Safe parking off street
Weber braais (and we supply all charcoal, fire lighters etc.)
Four of the properties are situated in Parsonage Street, Graaff-Reinets most historic street (stretching from Reinet House at one end to the Drostdy Hotel at the other), which is the core of the oldest part of town.
The other three houses are situated in (or adjacent to) Cradock Street, sometimes described as one mile and 230 years of history, being full of historic houses, but close to the towns museums and other facilities.
PET POLICY: All dogs welcome all year round. Dogs sleep inside – bring own dog beds & bowls. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture and must be free of ticks and fleas on arrival. Enclosed gardens & easy access to walks. Consideration must be given to resident dogs. Pets stay FREE. No Doggie Damages Deposit required.
