The Homestead
The Homestead is the original main house at Steynshoop where the large sliding doors offer scenic views over the pool and dams, and down into the valley.The house includes a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with sliding doors leading onto the terrace and pool and a separate, corner dining room overlooking the valley and mountain range. There is a courtyard with a fountain as well as an upstairs gallery with exercise equipment and a terrace that overlooks the quad.
The lounge has DStv and stereo. There is also a separate thatched gazebo with a large entertainment table and chairs, situated next to the pool.
The bedrooms include the following:
- Room One – large double bedroom (king-size double bed) with sliding doors onto patio overlooking the Magaliesberg range. Large en-suite bathroom (bath plus shower) with enclosed garden courtyard and private outside shower.
- Room Two – large double bedroom (queen-size double bed) with double height ceiling, fireplace and sliding doors with views over the water garden and mountain range. En-suite bathroom (bath plus shower) with enclosed courtyard and private outside shower.
- Room Three – double bedroom (king-size double bed) on upper level with superb views down into the valley and a small balcony overlooking the pool and dams. Large en-suite bathroom (bath only) overlooking the mountain range.
- Room Four – double bedroom (antique brass/enamel double bed) overlooking quad with small en-suite (shower only) bathroom.
- Room Five – double bedroom (antique brass/enamel double bed) on upper level under thatch with views up to the mountain range. Enclosed en-suite bathroom (bath plus shower).

The Corner Cottage
A separate self-catering unit with gallery-style bedroom on an open mezzanine level (queen-size double bed). Ground floor lounge/dining room and self-contained full kitchen, with fridge, stove and microwave oven. TV. There is a double sleeper/couch, suitable for occasional use by children, as well as a cot. Small adjoining walled garden with outside table and chairs and Weber braai. Lower level bathroom, with bath plus shower, and adjoining enclosed courtyard with outside shower.

The Gatehouse Cottages (there are two of these 5 and 5a)
Two double-storey self-contained cottages situated at the base of the quad, overlooking the homestead and the mountain behind it. Upper level double bedrooms (each with two single beds, apart) with doors onto balconies with superb views over the quad and the mountain range. Upper level en-suite bathrooms (each with bath plus shower). Lower level lounge/dining rooms and kitchenettes with built-in-cupboards, each with fridge, two-plate mini stove/oven, and microwave oven. Weber braai and TV. One of them (5A) has a small enclosed (walled) garden and an outside shower.

The Valley Suite
Large bedroom with king-size four-poster double bed, fireplace, sofa, antique breakfast table and chairs. Two double slider doors, with magnificent valley views. Portable fan/air-conditioner unit. Very substantial bathroom suite and dressing area (large oval bath, large shower, two hand basins, twin wardrobes, occasional Bali sofa-bench), leading onto walled private outside shower facility. Large lounge with fireplace, two double slider doors with superb views of the Magaliesberg Valley; a patio and adjoining small enclosed (walled) garden. This Suite has two sofas, a coffee table, TV, dining area and table, and a kitchenette with built-in cupboards, a fridge, two-plate mini stove/oven and a microwave oven.

The Arbour Cottage
A charming, self-contained, small cottage with its own full kitchen (fridge, oven, plates, microwave etc.) and well-equipped bathroom (bath, shower and two basins), a sleeping area with queen-size double bed, a walled outside shower area, sitting/dining room with flat-screen TV, DStv and DVD player; a patio sitting area overlooking the main quadrangle with a garden table and chairs; a Weber braai and a further sitting area overlooking the mountain and the arbour, to the rear of the cottage.

Cancellation policy:
Less than 7 days, forfeit the full deposit
From 7 to 14 days, forfeit 75% of the deposit
From 14 to 21 days, forfeit 50% of the deposit
From 21 to 28 days, forfeit 25% of the deposit
PET POLICY: Dogs welcome all year round. Dogs sleep inside; bring own dog beds, bedding and bowls. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture and must be free of ticks and fleas. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside. Enclosed garden and easy access to walks. Consideration must be given to resident cats, birds and wildlife. Pets stay FREE. Doggie Damages Deposit required: R500 refundable. Not all dog breeds are allowed, please specify breed and number of pets when booking. Please note that we have pets on the property – cats, dogs(St.Bernard and Jack Russel) donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks and geese.
