Klerksdorp – North Hills Country House
Enjoy your stay in a Guest Lodge in our 150ha Nature Reserve. North Hills Country House is nestled in park like gardens amongst ancient Acacia Trees. It lies within the boundaries of Klerksdorp (10 minutes away from the City centre). Klerksdorp is approximately 190 km from Johannesburg. North Hills Country House is situated just outside of Klerksdorp. We offer charming en suite accommodation in different sizes, themes and price ranges. Some rooms have an open fireplace. Self-catering options are also available.

The German Room:

Indian Room:
Two three-quarter beds, shower and toilet en-suite, bar fridge, open fireplace, private entrance and patio, tea and coffee making facilities.
African Room:
Double bed, shower and toilet en-suite, sleeper couch, bar fridge, open fireplace, private entrance and patio, tea and coffee making facilities.
Honeymoon Suite:
Thatched cottage with Queen-size bed, bath & shower and toilet en-suite, bar fridge, private entrance and patio, tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a TV and DVD.
Italian, Norwegian and Arabian Rooms:
All with double bed, shower and toilet en-suite, TV, private entrance / patio, tea and coffee tray.
Japanese Room:
Double bed, shower and toilet en-suite, TV, private entrance and patio, tea and coffee making facilities and secure parking.
Bushman Room:
Double bed, shower & toilet en suite, TV, tea / coffee tray, private entrance and patio, secure parking.
Sweden Cottage:
This self-catering cottage has a kitchenette with a microwave, stove, fridge, TV and a modern dining glass table & chairs. There are 2 beds which together make a queen size bed and a double sleeper for children. The en-suite has a shower, there are braai facilities and a secluded veranda with a view of the dam.
All our rooms have secure parking. There is an electric gate at the main entrance, offering secure parking (please phone for the code).
Facilities & Activities:
- Guests can use the swimming pool and sauna.
- Yoga mats are available at reception.
- Popular activities include game walking trails (please walk your dogs on leashes). Game viewing, birdwatching and tree-spotting are highlights for nature lovers.
- Guests can also enjoy our romantic Champagne Trail (approximately 20 minutes) with all its wonderful little corners, which ends at “Sunset Hill”, where our guests can enjoy a beautiful Highveld sunset (champagne and snacks available on request by prior arrangement).
You may see our Arabian Horses enjoying roaming together with the resident antelope. A huge attraction with our guests are our two rescue wolves, they live in their own camp with a small dam, close to our private cottage.
A variety of nice restaurants (some with free WiFi) are close by to North Hills Country House.
PET POLICY: All well-behaved dogs, horses and caged birds welcome all year round. Dogs sleep in the cottage. Bring own dog beds and bowls. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture and must be tick and flea free upon arrival. Enclosed garden / run. Easy proximity to walks. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside. Stables and paddocks for horses. Consideration must be given to 2 resident rescue wolves (kept in a camp), birds, horses, farm animals and wildlife. Pets stay free. Doggie Damages Deposit: NONE.
