Malmesbury (Paardeberg Mountain) – Fynbos Estate
Fynbos Estate is a 300 hectare farm nestling in a beautiful kloof of the Paardeberg mountain just outside Malmesbury and an hour from Cape Town.
We grow wine grapes and olives and run a guest house and workshop/ retreat centre, small winery, and celebration venue, as well as being a nature reserve. We have self catered, part catered and fully catered accommodation in the large 1900 Victorian farmhouse, or adjoining cottages (depending on the size of your party).
We offer a relaxed atmosphere, delicious country food (home grown or farm sourced), and fine wines traditionally made here on the farm. We also host winemaking getaways, fairs and concerts. We are passionate about conserving our wonderful mountain reserve and respect and enjoy all animals large and small.
PET POLICY: All well-behaved, cat-friendly dogs, cats and caged birds welcome all year round. Pets sleep inside; bring own pet beds and bowls. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture and must be free of ticks and fleas. Enclosed gardens for 3 houses and not enclosed for 1 house. Easy access to walks. Dogs must be leashed on walks if inclined to chase wildlife. Dogs are not to harm our cats or show aggression towards children or other people. Consideration must be given to the 2 resident dogs (very sociable), 3 resident cats, farm animals and wildlife such as buck, small mammals and birds. CHARGE for Pets: R50 per pet per night / animal day visitors R25 per animal.
