Southport (South Coast) – Cosy Cabins
Your romantic dream of staying in a log cabin can be fulfilled when you stay at Cosy Cabins where two one-bedroomed log cabins are nestled on the hillside in a pretty garden with sea views on the inland side of the main road in Southport. Southport is situated between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone making it convenient for all the holiday entertainment provided along the Lower South Coast in peak season.

Cosy Cabins provide ideal holiday accommodation for small families, but are also frequently utilised for their general convenience by people working on contract in the Port Shepstone area.
This is a very peaceful area for nature lovers with wonderful birdlife and monkeys who frequently come into the garden to steal from our fruit trees.
Cosy Cabin 1 has a double bed in the bedroom plus a sleeper couch in the open plan living area. The bathroom has a bath with telephone shower. This is a small unit suitable for a couple or a small family (max 1 teenager or up to 2 smaller children).
The larger Cosy Cabin 2, which has beautiful sea views from the deck, sleeps 5, with 2 single beds in the bedroom and one single bed and 2 bunks in the living area. It has a shower in the bathroom.
Both units are fully equipped with TV (including OVHD Satelite or bring own DSTV decoder), stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster etc.
The garden is fully fenced and gated and an alarm system is installed in each unit which also has a braai in its own small fenced and gated garden.
All bed linen is provided, but we request that you bring your own towels, toiletries, and provisions.
Cosy Cabins is less than 2km from the beautiful sandy Southport swimming beach which is now a Blue Flag Beach (no dogs allowed), having achieved this prestigious international qualification in September 2012. It has a guarded car park and grassed braai areas set amongst the milkwood trees, lifeguard station and ablutions. There are two very popular restaurants in close vicinity to the beach, and others within easy reach of Cosy Cabins.
Southport boasts a small shopping centre, just 700 meters from Cosy Cabins, where you can buy most of the items you need in the short term, but for major shopping Port Shepstone is only 6km away and the malls of Shelly Beach another 15km.
For the sportsman, Port Shepstone Country Club offers a variety of sports including one of 10 top class golf courses that can be found within a 50km radius of Southport.
Oribi Gorge offers the Wild 5 extreme sports which include Abseiling, Water Rafting, Bungee Swing, Gorge Slide and Horse Riding, as well as Lake Eland Game Reserve, and Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, a mecca for birdwatchers and hikers.
Fishermen can be spoilt for choices with shore or deep sea fishing, river angling or even bass fishing a short drive away. The South Coast is also renowned for two world class dive sites, and scuba diving is very popular.

Cosy Cabins are designed to be petfriendly, but we need to know when your pets will be accompanying you.
Pet Policy: All dogs, cats and caged birds welcome all year round. Pets sleep inside bring own pet beds, bedding and bowls. Pets are not permitted in or on the beds, settees or couches and all dogs MUST be treated against fleas and ticks. Rabies permit is essential. Enclosed garden and easy access to walks dogs must be leashed when outside own garden if other cabins are occupied. Easy access to walks. Doggie Damages Deposit required: R500 (refundable). Pets are welcome by request at an extra charge.
