Fine Art by Claire – Pet Portraits offers bespoke pet portraits to honour and celebrate your special furry, feathered or scaled friend. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Claire works from your own, quality reference photographs to produce a lasting tribute to your pet. Claire has been drawing animals since she could hold a pencil and uses coloured pencils to bring animals to life on paper, capturing their character and soul.
How to Commission a Portrait
Step 1: Choose the size of your portrait
Step 2: Send a high-resolution photograph of your pet/s. This should be detailed enough that you can see the animal’s eyes clearly and would ideally be taken at their eye level in natural light. For tips on taking the perfect photograph see my website, please also send the name of your pet and other photos, videos or write something about them that gives a sense of who they are.
Step 3: Once the size and layout have been agreed upon, a 50% deposit is payable before Claire begins work on your portrait. The balance is payable before delivery.
